Meet Loren Lentz

Second Generation Farmer. Committed to Excellence.

Our Story

A Legacy of Quality

Growing up on Lazy L Ranch, I learned something important from my father: shortcuts don't exist when you're building something that matters. Every morning before school, I was in the barn. Every summer, I was in the fields. This land is in my blood.

When I took over operations in 2005, I made a promise to myself and to our customers: the quality would never slip. In fact, I've spent every year since finding ways to make it better. Better storage, better practices, better service.

We're not the biggest operation around, and we're certainly not the cheapest. But when you buy from Lazy L Ranch, you're getting more than hay or beef—you're getting my personal guarantee that it's the best we can produce. That's a promise I take seriously.

I know most of my customers by name. I know their animals. I know what they need. That's the kind of farm business I want to run, and that's what sets us apart.

Our Values

What We Stand For

Quality Over Quantity

We'd rather produce less and maintain our standards than compromise on quality to increase volume.

Honest, Transparent Business

No hidden fees, no surprises. What you see is what you get, and we stand behind every product.

Sustainable Practices

We care for our land because it's been in our family for generations and will be for generations to come.

Personal Relationships

We don't have customers—we have neighbors. Building trust one handshake at a time.

Our Process

Why Barn Storage Matters

Unlike many operations that store hay outdoors, all Lazy L Ranch hay is kept in our covered barns. This isn't just about convenience—it's about quality assurance.

Weather Protection: Rain, snow, and humidity can ruin hay quickly. Our barn storage ensures your hay is protected from the elements year-round.

Consistent Quality: Whether you buy in July or January, you're getting the same high-quality product. No surprises.

Nutritional Value: Proper storage preserves the nutritional content of the hay, ensuring your animals get the maximum benefit from every bale.
