Alfalfa Hay
Our premium alfalfa hay is harvested at peak maturity to maximize protein and nutrient content. Each bale is cut at the optimal stage when the plant has the highest concentration of leaves and the lowest amount of stem, ensuring maximum nutritional value for your animals. Stored in our covered barn facility year-round, this hay maintains its bright green color, fresh smell, and high nutrient content. Some bales were tarped in the field before being moved to the barn. We inspect every bale for quality before it leaves our ranch. Rich in calcium, protein, and essential vitamins, alfalfa is the gold standard for high-performance animals. Whether you're feeding performance horses, lactating dairy cattle, or growing livestock, our alfalfa provides the energy and nutrition they need. We've been growing alfalfa on this land for two generations and know exactly when to cut for peak quality.

Alfalfa/Grass Mix
A carefully balanced blend of premium alfalfa and quality grass hay, this mix offers the best of both worlds. You get the high protein benefits of alfalfa combined with the fiber content and digestibility of grass hay. This versatile mix is perfect for horses that need moderate protein levels or for mixing into existing feed programs. It's also excellent for livestock owners who want to provide variety in their animals' diet without the complexity of managing separate hay types. Like all our hay, this mix is barn stored to preserve freshness and nutritional value. Some hay was tarped in the field before it came in. The combination provides a well-rounded feed option that works for a wide range of animals and feeding programs.

Grass Hay Mix
Our grass hay blend combines the best varieties grown on our ranch for optimal nutrition and palatability. Lower in protein than alfalfa but high in fiber, this is excellent hay for horses on weight management programs or for general livestock feeding. We select grass varieties that thrive in our Eastern Washington climate, resulting in sweet, palatable hay that animals love. The high fiber content promotes healthy digestion and helps maintain proper weight in animals that don't need the high protein content of alfalfa. Consistent quality is guaranteed because we control the entire process from planting to harvest to storage. All hay is barn stored. Some bales were tarped in the field before coming in. Every bale is protected from weather and maintains nutritional value.

Timothy Hay
Premium timothy hay is the preferred choice for rabbits, guinea pigs, and horses with specific dietary needs. Known for its high fiber content and low protein levels, timothy promotes healthy digestion and is ideal for animals that need a maintenance diet. Our timothy is soft-leafed, fragrant, and incredibly palatable. Animals love the taste, and owners appreciate the consistent quality. We harvest at the perfect stage to ensure the hay is neither too coarse nor too fine, with plenty of soft leaves and flexible stems. Timothy hay is particularly important for small animals like rabbits and guinea pigs, where it should make up the majority of their diet. For horses, it's an excellent choice for those with insulin resistance, laminitis risk, or other metabolic concerns.

Orchard Grass Hay
Sweet, palatable orchard grass that's highly digestible and loved by horses and livestock alike. Rich in nutrients with moderate protein levels, orchard grass is an excellent alternative to timothy hay with a softer texture and sweeter taste that animals prefer. Orchard grass grows well in our Eastern Washington climate, producing hay with excellent color, aroma, and palatability. The plants naturally have wider leaves than timothy, making for a softer, more appealing hay that animals readily consume. Barn storage preserves the natural sweetness and bright green color that make orchard grass so desirable. Some was tarped in the field before we brought it in. Whether you're feeding horses, cattle, or other livestock, this hay provides excellent nutrition with high palatability.

Low Sugar Hay
Specially selected and tested for low sugar content, this hay is ideal for horses with metabolic issues, insulin resistance, or laminitis. We understand that for some horses, sugar content in hay can be a serious health concern, so we take extra care in producing and selecting this specialized hay. Harvested at the optimal time and stored properly to minimize sugar levels while maintaining nutritional value, this hay undergoes testing to verify low NSC (non-structural carbohydrate) content. All hay is barn stored; some bales came in off a field tarp. We work with equine nutritionists to ensure this hay meets the dietary requirements for metabolically sensitive horses. While maintaining low sugar levels, this hay still provides the fiber and nutrients horses need for optimal health. It's not just safe for metabolic horses—it's nutritious and palatable too.

View DetailsUnderstanding Hay Quality
Color
Quality hay should be bright green, indicating it was harvested at the right time and stored properly.
Smell
Fresh, sweet smell is a sign of good hay. Musty or moldy odors indicate improper storage.
Texture
Soft, leafy hay is more nutritious. Stems should be pliable, not brittle or overly coarse.
Cleanliness
No weeds, dust, or debris. Our barn storage keeps hay clean and free from contamination.
